Geodes or Fluorescent Minerals, sometimes called Thunder Eggs are forms in volcanic rocks where water has worn away a pocket in the rocks leaving behind different minerals in the cavity such as iron, quarts and agate. The large variety of elements that is used to create thunder eggs accounts for the differences in size and color of the specimen. No two will ever be exactly the same.
